Color Technologies Limited built the AdCafé app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by Color Technologies Limited and is intended for use as is. This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at AdCafé unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

This service is meant for advertising and marketing purposes. By choosing to use our service, you agree to let us provide you content that is meant to promote various products and services provided to us by advertisers and users in the app, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, Privacy and Advertising Policy, for the purpose of facilitating advertising.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

You will be required to sign up for our service. You will be required to provide your name, your valid email address and a password to register for an account. These details will be stored and used by us to authenticate you in the app and allow you to access and use the service. After authentication, you will be required to select from shown categories based on your interests. This will allow us to show you relevant advertisement content as per your interests. These categories and interests will be recorded and monitored by us.

You also have the Option to charge for your time. The amount you wish to charge advertisers in the app will be recorded and stored by us. Upon consumption of the advertisement content, as per the rules of the app, your amount and other information(such as daily totals, monthly totals) will be accumulated and stored by us. If you wish, you can then have the amount sent to your Mobile Money account. We only make payouts via Mpesa; so to continue using our service, you will be required to have a verified and authentic mobile Mpesa wallet/account of which is YOURS and YOURS ONLY.

To make the payouts, you are required to provide us your valid phone number, verified and linked to your mobile Mpesa wallet/account, and your login password. Faliour to provide your valid authentication password means you will be unable to make any payouts to your mobile Mpesa wallet/account.

The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

We also collect and store all information in relation to activities or actions undertaken within the app such as: pining, reporting, session times, transactions(while making payments or payouts), login times, feedback messages, your email and password, your phone number and your name. This information is used by us to facilitate and better improve our service to you.

To advertise, you will be required to pass your valid phone number and your email which will be used to authenticate and complete the payment transaction. This information will be recorded by us and will be used as evidence and for reference in the future.

If you purchase services from us (AdCafé Advertising), we will collect certain information from you including, your email address,your phone number and information about the product or service you are advertising. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (eg. Safaricom's Mpesa or iPay Kenya), so please refer to the applicable processor’s terms and privacy policy for more information about how payment information is processed and stored.

The app also allows you to provide other information about yourself such as your area of locations, your age and your gender/sex. This information you provide us will be recorded and stored by us.

How We Use Information About You.

We use information about you to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
Target and filter advertising content in the app;
Research and develop new services;
Help protect our safety and that of our users, which includes addressing abuse, and enforcing this user agreement and our other policies;
Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, invoices and other support and administrative messages;
Provide customer service;
Communicate with you about news and information we think will be of interest to you; and
Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services.

How Information About You Is Shared

We do not share, sell, or give away your personal information to third parties unless one of the following circumstances applies:

With linked services. If you link your AdCafé account with a third-party service, we will share the information you authorize with that third-party service.
To comply with the law. We may share information in response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, including, but not limited to, meeting national security or law enforcement requirements. To the extent the law allows it, we will attempt to provide you with prior notice before disclosing your information in response to such a request.
In an emergency. We may share information if we believe it's necessary to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm to a person or to prevent a global catastrophe.
To enforce our policies and rights. We may share information if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements, rules, or other AdCafé policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of ourselves and others.
With our affiliates. We may share information between and among us, and any of our parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership.
With your consent. We may share information about you with your consent or at your direction.

Please note that, even when you delete your account or uninstall your app, your advert uploads, pins, feedback and other information you submit through the Services may still be viewable or available on our servers.

Your Choices

As a AdCafé user, you have choices about how to protect and limit the collection, use, and disclosure of information about you.

Accessing and Changing Your Information. You can access and change certain information such as your locaions, age, sex/gender and interests through the Services.
Controlling Advertising. We also offer you choices about receiving personalized advertisements. You can adjust how we personalize advertisements for you by in the app. You may also generally opt out of receiving personalized(from your provided information about locations, age and sex/gender) advertisements in the app.
Controlling Mobile Notifications. With your consent, we may send push notifications or alerts to your mobile device. You can deactivate these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on your mobile device or through the app.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error or crash in the app, we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with small amount of data that is commonly used as an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your device internal memory. This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collection information and to improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Also upon creation of your user account, you are required to provide and use a secure password, that cannot easily be recreated by hackers and other cyber-crimminals and that meets the requirements as dictated when signing up for your account. When you create your account, you are required to keep your password a SECRET and in NO CIRCUMSTANCE, should you share your account password, credentials and any other information you use in the app with anyone EXCEPT US.

Also, DO NOT forget the password you use to create your account.The password used NOT CHANGEABLE and in the event you wish to make a payout of a given amount to your mobile Mpesa wallet/account, you will be required to provide your password. This is to prevent unauthorised users from using your account to make unwanted payouts.

Age Consent.

This Service is not directed to people under the age of 18. Therefore, if you are under 18 years of age, you must stop using the app, and delete it from your device. We do not knowingly collect information, including Personal Data, from children or other individuals who are not legally able to use our Service. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected Personal Data from a child who is not legally able to use this service, we will promptly delete it, unless we are legally obligated to retain such data.
